Static Optimization Output

Are the muscle activations output by the static optimization normalized?

Can I directly compare them to filtered and normalized EMG like the OpenSIM document recommends?

Thanks

Re: CMC Examples?

I have come to realize the limitations you stated occur with most of the upper extremity models. I used an electromagnetic system (Fastrak) to collect the marker coordinates as well as the azimuth, elevation, and roll angles of 4 sensors. Using the ISB standards I have calculated joint angles for al...

Re: Static Optimization Problem

Have you tried adding a external load file with a force vector of magnitude 0 N?
I found at least with the dynamic shoulder simulator model that the static optimization will not run without an external load file.

CMC Examples?

Hi, I am using the new Dynamic Shoulder Model to predict muscle activations. I have both marker files .trc and joint angles .sto as input for inverse kinematics. I would like to run CMC through opensim but I am having trouble adapting the lower extremity CMC example file to work with the Upper extre...

DSEM-4-3 model in open SIMM?

Hi everyone, I am wondering if anybody has compiled the available source code to implement this model into open SIMM. I realize the CWRU upper limb model has .jnt and .msl files available to open in SIMM but to my knowledge this is a different model than the DSEM model (which there is only source co...
