Re: Using metabolics probe with DeGrooteFregly2016Muscle

Dear Ross Miller,
I used Umberger2010MetabolicsProbe and calculated the metabolic cost for tracking simulation of your 2D Model. I got it to be 7.9 W/kg. I think it is about 3 W/kg higher for this speed. I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. Do you get similar results?
Thanks,
Karthick.

Re: Predict walking pattern by using OpenSim-Moco

Hi all,
The optimization did converge when it was run as it is. I tried it long back. I think it took quite a few hours to converge in my machine.
Regards,
Karthick.

Re: (close to) minimizing metabolic cost

That is great! Thank you very much Chris. I will try it out.

(close to) minimizing metabolic cost

Dear Moco Team, I understand that it could be possible to minimize metabolic cost in some future release of Moco. Mean while , I was suggested ( If I rightly recollect) to minimize (integral of)fiber power using MocoOutputGoal. Since fiber power could be either +ve or -ve, the integral will only giv...

Query related to UMocoD Project

Dear Ross Miller, Could you please share the fiber type ratios of ercspn, recabd and fdb muscles? I went through the references. But I could get only some of their values and not sure of the exact values used in the model. I need them for metabolic cost computations. Also could you please mention th...

Re: Using MOCO in MATLAB

Please check if the Moco bin directory (C:\Users\MAHE\Documents\opensim-moco-0.4.0-win\bin) is in your system path. See point 5 in the below link. https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu/display/OpenSim/Scripting+with+Matlab#ScriptingwithMatlab-MatlabSetupSettingupyourMatlabScriptingEnvironment You ne...

Re: Using metabolics probe with DeGrooteFregly2016Muscle

Dear All, As Iris pointed out, the name of the controls in the storage file has '/forceset/' prefix whereas name of the control in the model does not have it. I manually removed this prefix in the storage file using 'replace all' in Matlab editor. I want to do this with scripting since I have to run...

Re: Matlab crashes with study.visualize()

Thank you all for your suggestions.
Chris,
When I ran the 'IntroOpensimAPI.m', Matlab crashed. I am using Windows 7.
Thanks,
Karthick.
