Heel strike transient
To Whom it may concern I am doing an analysis on patients who are performing level ground walking. There is a small spike at the beginning of the grf data known as the heel strike transient. Is it common practice to filter out the heel strike transient as it has an effect on the moment at the knee, ...

Re: RRA pelvic drift and high residual force in the y direct
I have tried increasing the maximum isometric forces of all the muscles by a factor of 10 but it still didn't work. I then increased the default min and max of the residual force and moment excitations in the controlConstraints xml. By doing this the model would then run. Does anyone know what I cou...

Re: RRA pelvic drift and high residual force in the y direct
I have realised that the RRAControlConstraints.xml file was not being called so I included it in my setup xml. What happens now is that my RRA stops running and displays this message: CMC.computeControls: ERROR- Optimizer could not find a solution. Unable to find a feasible solution at time = 0.092....

RRA pelvic drift and high residual force in the y direction
To whom it may concern I am performing a modeling pipeline on opensim for over ground walking specifically during stance phase. The pipeline is as follows: Scale - IK - ID - RRA - CMC I only perform the analyses for 0.69 seconds which includes the toe off of the right foot, full stance of the left f...

Re: Questions in RRA, CMC and Analyze Tool
Thank you very much Satya you have been a great help. I have weighted markers but will try unchecking markers that I am uncertain of, this sounds like a good plan. OK good idea about filtering the force data. I will apply the same method and see if it produces better results. Lets hope the force pla...

Re: Questions in RRA, CMC and Analyze Tool
Hi Satya Yes I am doing the simulation for above ground walking for just the left foot stance. I have performed the scaling and got the errors within the required range, but my IK errors are o.5 cm too high. Could that be fixed by filtering the marker trajectory data? If so what filter did you use? ...

Re: RRA Fy is too high
Hi James
Thank you for the reply. Yes I have a few times, but am still unable to get the residual force within the required range. The moment is OK. I am using the tracking task weightings used for the gait2392 model.
Regards,
Bruce

RRA Fy is too high
Hi All I am currently using the RRA and CMC tool for my own data with the gait2393 model supplied by Opensim. I am analysing data for one step on a force plate. I only run the analysis for the duration of the stance phase on the force plate. I have scaled my model, performed an IK and an ID and am n...
