Re: Muscle Analysis through the GUI vs through Matlab

Hi Dimitar,

Thanks for the reply; I was thinking the same thing about the results. I've uploaded my muscle analysis setup file. I'll try changing the Matlab code like you suggested to see how that will change the results.

Thanks,

Rachel

Muscle Analysis through the GUI vs through Matlab

Hello, I'm using OpenSim 4.0 to simulate a chair-rise task in OpenSim 4.0 using a modified LaiArnold 2017 model (https://simtk.org/frs/?group_id=1302). I'm having some issues with high activations during the task, and I was looking into the model's muscle fiber lengths and tendon lengths during the ...

Scaling and IK Marker Errors in 4.0

Hello, I'm using OpenSim 4.0 to reproduce a sit-to-stand transfer in subjects with knee OA. I've previously used both the scaling and inverse kinematics tools in OpenSim 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 for various simulations, and I've noticed a difference in how the marker errors are calculated/displayed in the ...

Rotation Sequence for Kinematic Data

Hello, This is a general question about the motion capture data. What is the rotation sequence between the tracking and anatomic coordinate systems for the motion capture data? I've looked in several places online and in papers and can't seem to find the answer. I'm specifically interested in the 4t...

Unrealistic Induced Acceleration Potentials

Hello, I am trying to use Induced Acceleration Analysis to calculate muscle potentials for a subject rising from a chair. However, the resulting potentials in the output file (model_InducedAccelerations_center_of_mass.sto) are incredibly large in all 3 directions. Previous subjects' data is orders o...
