UWLigaments + Joint Reaction Analysis

Hi everyone, Has anybody included ligaments (UWLigament Model) in there models and then tried using the Joint Reaction Analysis tool? I've tried two different workflows which result in different force results. Workflow 1: IK - SO - remove ligament results from .sto file - JR (with ligaments included...

Re: Large Residuals RRA SO issues.

Hi all, So I was able to replicate my results using the kinematic and ground reaction force data provided with the gait2392 model. Simply by removing the left GRF data, even though I am looking at right leg stance phase, I get these large residuals at heel strike and toe-off. Thus any period of doub...

Re: Large Residuals RRA SO issues.

Hi James, thank you for your reply. There are dozens of forum posts with this same question Perhaps I am searching with the wrong keywords but have not been able to find any additional information on the forum that is different to that of the troubleshooting tips provided in the documentation. The t...

Large Residuals RRA SO issues.

Hi everyone, I am having some difficulties that I'm hoping somebody may be able to help me with. I wish to use the gait2392 model to perform static optimization to generate muscle forces during normal gait. I have successfully scaled the model (keeping maker errors below 2cm for max error and RMS le...

Re: Detailed Error Reports for Scaling and IK

Hi,

Any joy figuring this out?

I tried <report_marker_locations>true</report_marker_locations> in my scaling_setup.xml file, in different locations but can't seem to get it to work (OpenSim 3.3)

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice James.

I'll give this a try.

sit-to-stand, can one GRF be split and applied to each foot?

Hi all, I have gait data for a sit-to-stand trial however both of the subject feet are on one force plate. When I create my .mot file for this grf I have a force applied somewhere between both feet which makes sense (see image attached). I was wondering is there a way to split this force between bot...

Abnormally scaled torso?

Hi, After I ran the OpenSIM Model Generation Workflow I noticed that my model seems to have an abnormally scaled torso, i.e it looks too small compare to the legs, is this just a limitation of the software as we are not providing marker positions for the torso, the feet are a little small also? Scre...

Re: OpenSim model generation with just one or two lower limb bone meshes?

Hi Bryce, Just a follow up question that I think is related. I'm getting incorrect adjusted values for the optimal_fibre_length and tendon_slack_length only on the right femur after the Fieldwork Gait2392 Muscle HMF step in the OpenSIM Model Generation Workflow. I'm guessing from looking at the size...
