Update, in case someone else stumbles upon this post because they have a similar error: It seems like the error was actually related to a file reading/writing issue. Was a resolution ever found for the DLASD4 error?
I'm getting the exact same error when I run static optimization from the command line. Running in the GUI also causes the program to shut down with no error message. I'm running 64 bit OpenSim 3.2.
