Thelen2003Muscle deprecated
Hi, I'm having troubles with the MoBL_ARMS_Upper_Limb_Model_OpenSim because static optimization doesn't work. After doing lots of attempts, I'm asking if the problem is the muscle model implemented. I've read in a previous topic that Thelen2003Muscle model was deprecated and a new muscle model by Ma...

Re: Upper Limb Dynamic Model
I have contacted a member of the team that has created the model and she says that they have used it successfully to use most of the dynamic simulation function in OpenSim. So it seems that the model hasn't issues. I can't understand where is the problem. The warning message I can read before OpenSi...

Re: Upper Limb Dynamic Model
Really thank you for the complete explanations. I've added reserve actuators for each of the controllable coordinates of the models, but nothing changes. The warning message (before everything disappears) says that some columns in the storage object can't be found. These are the columns related with...

Re: Upper Limb Dynamic Model
Thank you really much for the answer. Can I ask you what reserve actuators are? I don't know how to add them to each coordinate. Is it written anywhere?
I will also post on the page you suggest, thank you for the information!
Best regards.

Upper Limb Dynamic Model
Hi, I'm using MoBL_ARMS_Upper_Limb_Model_OpenSim and I'm trying to run the Static Optimization starting from a simple motion file to reproduce pronation and supination. I can't understand why OpenSim crashes everytime I try to run the analysis: everything disappears with no message of error. On the ...

Re: Static Opt-Upper Limb Model
I realized a file.mot writing the time histories of all the generalized coordinates during motion, and to understand how to create it I saw the example of the model of gait. That model has a file.mot already given in the downloading package. Are you able to run the static optimization with this mode...

Static Opt-Upper Limb Model
Hi, I'm working with the MoBL_ARMS_Upper_Limb_Model_OpenSim and I want to analyse the prono-supination motion. I'd like to know which muscles activate this motion so I want to use the Static Optimization tool. I've understood that an external_force file is required, but I've no external forces. So I...

Problem with Static Optimization
Hi, I'm working with the MoBL_ARMS_Upper_Limb_Model_OpenSim and I've created a file.mot to reproduce the prono-supination motion. I want to know which muscles activate this motion and I'd like to use the Static Optimization tool but when I click to "run" everything disappear. OpenSim closes! I can't...

Re: Custom Joint
I've read that the Custom Joint transform is described in the spatial trasform: X=[R(x1,x2,x3) p(x4,x5,x6)] with x(q) where q are the joint coordinates, and x are the spatial coordinates for the rotations (x1, x2, x3) and translations (x4, x5, x6) along user-defined axes that specify a spatial trans...

Re: Custom Joint
Thank you for your explanations. I have one more question: I can't understand if there is a rule or a norm that connects the choice of the three consequent axis. Do they have to represent three orthogonal axis? Even if the rotation 2 and 3 are blocked, what do they represent? I have the three follow...
