problem with the contact geometry definition
Hi, there. Is there anyone could help me? Recently I built a knee joint musculoskeletal model in openSim, and trying to use the setting of triangular mesh volume (.obj) to define the contact relationship of knee joint. However, when I added the contact force in the forceset of osim file and ContactG...

problem with the reference frames of body segments
Hi, there.
Does anyone know how to modify the locations of each body segment's reference frame? If OpenSim is unable to do so, is there any other software could help to sort it out?
Many thanks,
Linjie

how to move self-built impalnts into existent lower extremity model in OpenSim
Hi, there. Does anyone know how to move self-built impalnts into existent lower extremity model for kinematics and kinetics analysis? Currently, I have built a total knee replacement and downloaded a lower extremity model from grand knee chanllenge competition. And the femur, tibia and its replaceme...

the global and local coordinates of the JW musculoskeletal model
Hi, everyone. Could anyone please help tell me how to find the information about the global and local coordinates of the JW musculoskeletal model? I've read a definition of anatomical coordinate system used for some research, but I am not sure which one definition was used for the JW musculoskeletal...

Re: the problem of workunits number
Hi, everyone. Inspired by Dr. Ayman Habib, the problem of workunits has been sorted out. I reset the value of PathFileType in the trc. file from 3 to 4 and then the model could move now. However, I dont know what that number really means and maybe the programming codes behind should be checked in or...

the problem of workunits number
Dear all,
When I import a trial .trc file into the IK tool and input the time range which is consistent with the values in the .trc file, a error window would always pop out saying "number of workunits cannot be negative". Does anyone know the reason?
Thanks in advance,
Linjie

asking for help with IK tool
Hi, everyone. I am a new user of OpenSim. Is there anyone could help me? I am confused about the output in the inverse kinematics tool. Is that Motion file an output file that is produced by the IK tool or a file measured by people? I downloaded documents from the Grand Challenge Competition to Pred...
