Re: Please tell me how to find the torque.
Hi Yuzo, You have to perform Inverse Dynamics to calculate the joint torque. Below are necessary links. But remember you have to perform scaling and inverse kinematics first before solving Inverse Dynamics. https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8443/display/OpenSim/Inverse+Dynamics https://simtk-con...

Re: Multiplying Data
Hi Zvonimir,
Did you mean the output of *.mot file and only for plotting or visualization? You can export/save as that file in excel format and can do that.
Best,

Re: Visualizing both Virtual and Experimental Markers in the IK GUI
Hi Sergiu,
After you open the IK results, right click on the "IKResults". Then click on "Associate Motion Data" and load the experimental marker trajectory file. Once you play the motion, you will see both virtual and experimental markers together.

Static optimization and Joint reaction analysis
Hello everyone, I am just wondering if anyone has used the latest DAS version for any kind of static optimization and joint reaction analysis? I am interested to run static optimization and joint reaction analysis with the latest DAS model. From the following link, it seems that static optimization ...

Static Optimization (SO) Actuators
Hello everyone, I have a general question regarding SO. When running SO, we need to add reserve actuators for each coordinate with certain 'optimal_force' value. After running, if I started to decrease the 'optimal_force' value, it seems that, sometimes it still able to solve the problem, but muscle...

Actuators for SO
Hello everyone, I am using "MoBL-ARMSDynamicUpperLimb-latest" shoulder model. The model has total 13 'Coordinates' and 13 'Constraints'. My questions are: i) While running for SO, do I need to add extra actuators for each 'Coordinates' and 'Constraints' or for some particular 'Coordinates' and 'Cons...

Re: Output of SO (Noisy muscles forces)
Hi Dimitar Stanev, Thanks for your reply and suggestion. Could you please explain what do you mean by saying " I would add that the muscle acts as a low pass filter, so despite that you are getting this noisy signal, it would be translated to a more "smoother" force ." How can I do this? Do you mean...

Output of SO (Noisy muscles forces)
Hi everyone, I am using "MoBL-ARMSDynamicUpperLimb-latest" shoulder model and trying to simulate the abduction motion. The model has total 50 muscles. When I ran the static optimization, it solved with very small 'Performance' and 'Constraint violation' values. But I got very noisy muscle forces. I ...

Re: Importing TRC Into Matlab
Hi Aaron, Just wondering, are you trying to write the *.trc files in Matlab? For my case, I wrote the Matlab code to extract the motion data from an excel file and wrote the *.trc file in Matlab in excel format, and then save as *.trc files. For importing both text data and numeric data in Matlab, y...

Re: Static Optimization
Hi James, Thanks for your reply and suggestions. I will definitely go through the link you posted and let you know if I have problems on understanding that. Previously, I did not add any actuators. Now, when I add reserve actuators for all coordinates and constraints (13 for coordinates and 13 for c...
