Re: Synergies and Spasticity in OpenSim Moco
Hi Nick, thanks for the feedback. I think that the spasticity feature would be something very interesting in applicating the musculoskeletal models direct to the clinical evaluation of interventions. I have a hard time proposing OpenSim regularly because I still cannot present all the possible scena...

Synergies and Spasticity in OpenSim Moco
Hello everyone, Does anyone have a suggestion to configure possible muscle synergies and spasticity for predictive simulations in OpenSim Moco? Here at SARAH Network of Rehabilitation Hospitals, we are starting to use inverse and predictive simulations to evaluate first AFO prescription. I got a sta...

Re: (close to) minimizing metabolic cost
    My last unusual result came with a big lesson: "double-check if the time length of the .trc files is equal to your time-bound" I accidentally asked the model to solve the problem, in which the markers stopped immediately and stayed there still for half a second. It was the bi...

Re: (close to) minimizing metabolic cost
Million thanks Nick!! I will study it for sure. I'm currently developing scaled models for patients attended at SARAH Network of Rehabilitation Hospitals. The goal is to run predictive simulations of gait based on assistive devices (AFOs mostly). I think I got the roadmap well designed, but the jour...

Re: (close to) minimizing metabolic cost
Hello Nick and Russell, thanks a lot for the feedback. Using the modelProcessor.append(ModOpReplaceMusclesWithDeGrooteFregly2016()) has also worked for me. The first idea of the post was to point out that sometimes the passive forces may overcome the active forces when the model is not well set. It ...

Re: MarkersReference in Python
It worked!!!
It was just "copy and paste" syndrome ....
I copied the code lines from my previous try with MocoTrack ... There it is MocoWeightSet (exampleMocoTrack.py)...
Thanks a lot!
Now I will move on to the next errors, hehehe
Best regards.

MarkersReference in Python
Hello, I came across this issue when calling markersRef = osim.MarkersReference('somethig.trc', markerWeights) Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:/Users/12833/Documents/Proj. OpenSim/Estudo_Isabela_D197748_G29D21LN/analiseMarcha.py", line 738, in <module> simGait("tracking") File "C:/Users/1...

Re: DeGrooteFregly2016Muscle scaling problem
Hello Jiacheng, What I've been doing is scaling everything with Thelen or Millard muscles, and prior to the Moco simulation, I'm replacing the muscle types. That at least updates the muscle lengths and tendons slack. In despair ( ), I've also done something that worked (at least), which was:...

DeGrooteFregly2016Muscle scaling problem
Hello everyone, I think I found a bug in the scaling of DeGrooteFregly2016Muscle. It is not updating the optimal fiber length and the tendon slack. If someone could check it out, it would be fantastic. I'm using a version of the 2D_gait.osim available in the examples for OpenSim Moco. My sca...
