Re: Forward dynamics using ID/RRA
Thank you for your quick reply. In the linked topic there is said something about tracking optimization. So can I assume that it does the same as RRA, where a desired motion ist tracked as good as possible to get Forward Simulation kinematic data? Then there is again the question if I can use RRA da...

Re: Forward dynamics using ID/RRA
Hi there, I have the same problem using the results from Inverse Dynamics to calculate a Forward Dynamics simulation with GRF. Therefore I added some actuators to the Forward Dynamics Tool having the same name as the columns in my "inverse_dynamics.sto" file. I guess then that Forward Dynamics uses ...

Re: Inverse Dynamics reference frame
Yes, I think that's right. When you look in the file that is created through Inverse Dynamics analysis there is (for example) a "knee_angle_l_moment" according to the "knee_angle_l" coordinate. This Coordinate is (in my example) defined by the "femur_l" reference frame to account for the angle of th...

Re: Inverse Dynamics reference frame
I think this form you showed is only applicable for the external forces you added. But when you calculating with the "Inverse Dynamics" tool there are all the joints considered you have in your model. When you look at the "Coordinates" window in OpenSim you see all your coordinates. Thus the results...

Re: Origin for ground reaction torques in Gait2354
Hi Bill, I wondered about this question as well. But if you look at "subject01_walk1_grf.xml", you will see that both the point of application and the direction of force or torque is expressed in ground coordinates, hence in global coordinates. I further guess that these torque moments exist because...

Rotation order when calculating Analysis with Body Kinematics
Hi there, I used the "Analyze" tool for calculating all of the body kinematics in the human model "gait2392" (with OpenSim 3.3). Then I get results for positions, velocities and accelerations for coordinates and angles. Now my question is: Does someone of oy know in which order the angles are given?...

Inverse Dynamics: Muscle forces without GRF?
Dear helpers, at the moment I am working on a project for my diploma thesis concerning the interaction of humans to structure. Therefore I need Ground Reaction Forces as a result of a human's movement, e.g. walking. That means the input should be the movement and the output the GRFs. As I know there...
