Re: Include/exclude subtalar joint in custom static optimization practice
Hello Mohammadreza, I've never tried the moment-matching approach, but just to check, do you have any other joint moments locked? Edit: An example of this is the MTP joint; when using large treadmill force plates, the force from in front of the MTP joint cannot be distinguished from the force applie...

Re: Activation and tendon compliance dynamics in custom static optimization practice
Hi Mohammadreza, Here's what I've found so far in the documentation: Ignoring the activation dynamics allows you to use the excitation input as the activation signal and can result in performance improvement by eliminating high-frequency dynamics and removing the fiber length from the state vector. ...

Re: Custom Static Optimization: Inverse Dynamics correct?
Dr. Uchida,
Thank you so much for your help!! Once I remembered to erase my previously generated files, it calculated perfectly!
Thank you again,
Nicole

Re: Custom Static Optimization: Inverse Dynamics correct?
Thank you so much, I had completely forgotten the external forces!! I also cut out setModel but I still have the same graphing issues. I'll keep picking it apart and let you know if I formulate any other questions.

Custom Static Optimization: Inverse Dynamics correct?
(I wanted to use an OpenSim 4.4 tag but I cannot create one) Hi all, I'm working on the Custom Static Optimization advanced example https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8443/display/OpenSim/Custom+Static+Optimization+in+MATLAB with the provided skeleton code and data. My generalized forces for the ...

Which versions of OpenSim and MATLAB is BOPS 2.0 designed for?
I keep having issues trying to run BOPS on my Mac and I've tried a few different version combinations of OpenSim and MATLAB; which versions was it written to be most compatible with?

Re: BOPSgui.m appears, then disappears and errors out
I found a temporary solution: access the GUI through the BOPSgui.fig file in the MATLAB tree. This will pull up the interactive applet. Unfortunately, the OpenSim model (Model_scaled.osim) is still not able to be selected, so I will make a different forum post addressing this.

BOPSgui.m appears, then disappears and errors out
I am using a Macbook with Catalina (when I updated further, BOPS would not run), OpenSim 4.1, and MATLAB 2021a. I had the same following results or worse with MATLAB 2019b, 2020a, and 2020b. I downloaded the BOPS-2.0, BOPS_TestData, and Data -- GUI Example folders and put them in my MATLAB folder. (...

Re: Bone models not showing up
Hi Raj, If you look at the Messages window, your OpenSim can't find the .vtp files for most of your bones. I've had these problems across a few installations on my Mac; until there's a permanent fix, you can search your computer to see if any other folders have the missing files (such as "hat_skull....
