Re: study the impact of exoskeleton on energy consumption Opensim
in the link below related to metabolic costs: http://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8080/display/OpenSim/Simulation-Based+Design+to+Reduce+Metabolic+Cost it is mentioned that : "the OpenSim software platform has an extensive library of actuators and controllers." How we can use this library in order ...

Re: study the impact of exoskeleton on energy consumption Opensim
CMC drives the model through an experimentally observed motion and computes the muscle forces that would have generated that motion; disabling a muscle will not change the motion it is tracking. The same question was asked on another thread ( https://simtk.org/plugins/phpBB/viewtopicPhpbb.php?f=91&...

Re: Ground Stiffness
The Ground body does not inherently apply forces to the model; you need to add contact geometry explicitly (e.g., to the foot and ground bodies). See the "Dynamic Walking Challenge" page on Confluence ( http://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8080/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=5113821 ) for an example....

Ground Stiffness
Hello everyone.
Is it possible to change the stiffness of the ground in simulation with Opensim? Apparently, its stiffness is not included in properties of Ground body in the Navigator.
Thank you.

study the impact of exoskeleton on energy consumption Opensim
Hello everyone, I am new in Opensim and my project is about study and simulation of the impact of exoskeleton (external actuators) on energy consumption. I want to add actuators on hip, knee and ankle and see how they affect walking, running and required energy? is this simulation doable in opensim?...

Re: Removing muscles from a model
Hello, I have the same problem with disabling the muscles. I expect that the model fail to walk after that or at least changes in the walking style but I can not see any changes in walking. could you please explain more about your response? I could not realize it truly. Regars, That's not going to h...

Re: Removing muscles from a model
Hello everyone
In a normal walking model 2392 I disabled all the muscles of one leg but I have not seen any change in the style of walking when I run the model in GUI. Do you know why it does not show me any change?
Regards,
