Re: Estimate tendon slack length
Hi, Sorry for the confusion here. I am trying to ask this: How to calculate the tendon slack length when we are developing a model? As far as I understand, all other parameters can be taken from experiments but tendon slack length has to be calculated. What are the steps one have to take to do this?...

Re: Estimate tendon slack length
Hi,
I am asking how to obtain the tendon slack length of a muscle-tendon unit for a certain model?
Thanks,
William

Estimate tendon slack length
Hi,
How to estimate tendon slack length for a musculo-tendon unit? Is there a function in OpenSim to do it?
Thanks,
William

Min. activation in damped equilibrium model
Hi,
I understand that minimum activation in Millard equilibrium muscle model should be nonzero, but what about the damped equilibrium model? Can we have zero muscle activation in the damped version?
Thanks,
William

TendonForceLengthCurve
Hi All, What is the x-axis in the TendonForceLengthCurve() in the OpenSim? In the API documentation at the link below, the graph x-axis label is written as strain but from the explanation x-axis seems to be normalized tendon length (for ex- it starts from 1). Is it a typo? What really is the x-axis?...

Re: Compute dependent coordinates
Hi, By coordinate here I mean joint angles. I have 14 coordinates (joint angles) in my model. After putting coupler constraints, there are 3 independent coordinates and 11 dependent coordinates. Now, given the 3 independent coordinates as a function of time I would like to compute all 11 dependent c...

Compute dependent coordinates
Hi All,
Is there any way to compute dependent coordinates given the independent coordinates as a function of time?
Thanks,
William

What are realize_ functions?
Hi All,
What are the differences between the following functions and when are they used?
1) realizeAcceleration()
2) realizeDynamics()
3) realizePosition()
4) realizeReport()
PS: I want to store all the states during the forward integration. Are these functions needed to do that?
Thanks,
William

Forward integration
Dear All,
I want to do forward integration with arm26 model while updating the controls after every 10ms. I am able to load the model but not able to access controls. How do I do this in python?
Thanks,
William

What are wrap objects?
Hi All,
I am trying to understand the OpenSim model geometries. I have some questions regarding the wrap objects:
1. What are the wrap objects?
2. What are their functions?
3. For what computations are they used? And how are they used for those computations?
Thanks,
William
