Unstable Simulation
Hello, I am running a pretty standard CFD simulation on 2 cases of a human aorta, but in my final results, I have unstable flow and in particular, there are "hot spots" of erroneously high velocities (see photo below). Do you have any insight or suggestions of how to solve this issue? I followed the...

Solver parameters - clarification
Hello, I am trying to match my simulation time steps to PC-MRI data. My period for this patient is 0.76734 (s) and the PC-MRI data has 50 evenly distributed frames (i.e. every 0.0156 s). Originally, I decided to run 5 cycles, with 200 frames/cycle, and saving 50 of the 200 frames to match my data. I...

Re: Error using svFSI on Ubuntu 18.04
Hi David, Thank you for your prompt reply. I'm working on a time-sensitive project, so I think I will just try to downgrade Ubuntu so that I can run svFSI. If I do this, what version of Ubuntu do you recommend? Will 16.04 work with this program? Just want to make sure before I begin re-installing th...

Error using svFSI on Ubuntu 18.04
Hello, I'm trying to svFSI but I keep getting the error: libmpi_mpifh.so.12: cannot open I tried replacing the svFSI executable with the new one on GitHub, but it didn't seem to do anything. Do you have any suggestions for correcting this error? For background, I just installed Ubuntu 18.04 on my la...

Re: Error in converting results
Hi Dave,
Thank you! I think you're right. I did copy the results from a cluster and since it was a large job I was using more processors so that must be causing the issue. I noticed sometimes if I re-run it, then it will be successful, so I'll keep working with it for now!
Thanks,
Hannah

Re: Simulation Not Running
Hi Dave,
Thank you so much! I usually am careful about using underscores or no spaces, but I missed this one. After fixing it, my simulation now runs properly!!
Best,
Hannah

Re: Simulation Not Running
Hi Dave, I just wanted to follow up and see if you were able to look at my .svpre file and If you found a potential solution? I noticed that only some of my models have this issue and if I create a simpler model with less branches I don't usually have this issue. I just can't figure out why some of ...
