Re: SO and FD
Thank you for your reply! So if I want to perform a muscle driven simulation as input for the forward dynamic I have to use the results from CMC. But if I perform a CMC or a SO on the same problem the results are very different between them also because SO resolves step by step while CMC integrating...
SO and FD
Hi everyone, I've tried to do a static optimization with a motion file in order to see muscles activations e forces, then to verify if they should be reasonable I've done a forward dynamic simulation given as input the results (control.sto) obtained with SO, but it doesn't reproduce the original mot...

Reserve Actuators
hi everyone, I've a question about reserve actuators; I've read that they are actuators that can make up for insufficient muscle strength during a simulation, so I've performed a CMC without them but it falls then I 've added reserve actuators to the coordinates of the model and it runs but how I ca...

Re: Example: CMC arm26
Thank you Tom for your reply, I've read the links you show me and they were very useful. The only thing is that I don't unserstand if in the ControlConstrain file is enough to write the <default_min> and <default_max> for my muscles or if I have to insert also the <ControlLinearNode> that descrives ...

Example: CMC arm26
Hi everyone , I'm trying to better understand the CMC tool so after read about it on the User's guide I've done the example- CMC but I don't find the "arm26_ComputedMuscleControl_ControlConstraints.xml" file : I understand that this file must contain something about muscles and actuators, but I don'...

Modify existing model
Hi everyone, I want to know if is possible to modify an existing model through MATLAB removing some muscles and bodies. In particular I'm interested in modify the Standford VA upper limb model in order to semplify it, putting all the bones of the fingers in a unique body "hand" and removing the musc...

Re: Kinematics for external loads
ok, I understand.
I thought instead I should put another specific .mot file.
Thank you !

Kinematics for external loads
Hi everyone, I'm doing a ID simulation and I have a doubt about external forces ; I don't understand which file I have to put in "kinematics for external loads" option, Is the same .mot file that I use as input for ID that contains the motion of my model? AAA.JPG If I don't specify it what happens? ...

Re: Simulation with external force and SO
Thank you Dimitar for your reply. I read again the guide to better understand how OpenSim works and the link that you wrote to me. So,if I want to observe what motion my force will produce I have to performe Forward Dynamic adding a prescribed force, but, as in my case, if I'm interested to see join...

Simulation with external force and SO
Hi everyone, I'd like to perform a simulation with arm26.osim model, in particular I'd like to see how adding a force to the model the joint reactions and the muscle activations change, but I have some doubts about the process that I have to follow. I've create a motion file and with it I've run Inv...
