Retrieving muscle parameters using Python
I'd like to retrieve a list of muscles in my model. Ultimately the goal is to be able to access and edit the muscle parameters for each muscle but to begin with, I thought it'd be a good idea to try and retrieve a list of muscles first and go from there. The code I've been trying to so far is result...

That worked great. Thanks James!

Displaying bone geometries with Python
I've just started using Python with Opensim and have imported and visualized the Hamner2010 (Full body) model using Spyder(Python 2.7). However, the model appears without bones. I assume that the bone geometry libraries haven't been imported? How would I go about including bone geometries e.g. so th...

Re: Adding degrees of freedom to the knee joint
Hi Nicos,
Yeah, I've tried reducing the knee abduction/aduction range to +-0.1 radians but it hasn't had any effect. The scaling still results in an extreme genu varum (approx 30ish deg) :/

Adding degrees of freedom to the knee joint
Hi, I'm using the Hamner full body model and want to add a rotational degree of freedom around the X axis to allow for slight genu valgum/varum when scaling the model. Does anyone know how this is accomplishable? So far my attempts have resulted in my model displaying extreme genu varum... <Joint> <...

Model floating up and down following RRA
My model is floating up and down (and also rotates slightly around the Z axis) when running RRA. I've tried going through the 'Forward Simulation of Stance Phase' (https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu/display/OpenSim24/Forward+Simulation+of+Stance+Phase) hoping for some intuition but failed to find...

Re: UK based OpenSim networking
Hi Nicos, We were just talking about collaborating with Bath university (I'm a PhD student at Loughborough University by the way). I'm interested in subject specific forward dynamic modelling. I believe Darios(?) has spoken to my supervisor about optimization, which may be abit ahead of where I am a...

UK based OpenSim networking
As a newcomer to OpenSim and with a limited workshops taking place in the UK. I was wondering whether there is a UK based network of users available? If not, It would be tremendously worthwhile to establish a group that may be able to other some assistance for each others project and arrange real-wo...

Experimental and model markers are too far apart after scaling
I've been trying to use OpenSim for some months now and I'm struggling to get my model to scale satisfactorly. I've read and watched all the tutorial/webinar sessions but they offer very limited advice for troubleshooting issues. Several markers do not perfectly overlap once scaling is complete. In ...
