Re: scaling failed
Hi Isotta, I had a similar issue with the scaling tool saying 'from file --- NOT FOUND' when I exported trc files directly from Vicon Nexus. I found that these errors were occuring because Vicon Nexus was including the subjects name and marker name. For example instead of just the marker name "RAcro...

Model markers will not match experimental markers during scaling
I've been having this issue for a while and can't seem to solve it. The problem that I am having is that my model markers will not match my experimental markers in my model during scaling. I am confident that my experimental markers were accurately locateed on my subject and created model markers fo...

Bone geometry- What is scaled?
I'm trying to fine tune my scaling of a generic model to fit a subjects static mocap data. Experimental and virtual markers will not match perfectly despite my best (but novice) efforts and I'm wondering what is being scaled exactly. I've computed measurement based scale factors for all segments but...

Scaling bone geometry
I'm having an issue scaling the bone geometry of my model. I want the torso i.e. spine to adjust it's length accordingly to the marker pair 'T10 & C7'. Likewise I would also like the rib cage to adjust in depth accordingly to the marker pair 'T10 & Xiphoid' and for the shoulder width dependent on th...

Importing force data from Vicon into OpenSim
I'm trying to import force data from Vicon and I'm using the Lee-Son toolbox to convert the csv file into usable data for opensim. The issue that I am having is that the Lee-Son toolbox will crash when I try to convert data and does not offer any explanation as to why. I've looked at the Lee-Son too...

Unnatural pelvic movement in inverse dynamics model
I'm using a full body msk model (Hamner., 2010) and have used my own motion capture data to run build an inverse kinematic model in OpenSim. The model appears to be replicating the subjects movement relatively well except that there appears to be sudden and unnatural pelvic movements i.e. large and ...

Re: Experimental markers not visible
I've had similar results as Anthony. In the messages window I can see marker error values have a total RMS error of 0.05 and max error of 0.15. Even if the marker spheres are of equal radius, this much difference between marker locations should result in clearly identifiable experimental and virtual...

Experimental markers not visible
I've followed the gait2354 tutorial and have started scaling a fullbody model with my own motion capture data. However, the experimental markers have not been visible with either of these attempts. Is there an obvious reason why this may be happening?

Model disappears during forward simulation
I've followed the tutorial of building the dynamic walker from the ground up, the model has functioned as predicted at each stage. I have now added coordinate limiting forces to the joints, compiled the code, debugged it and opened the model in OpenSim. The issue is that the model now disappears the...
