add a torque actuator in Static Optimization

I am working with a customized model one legged lower extremity model. This model does not include torso muscles. Therefore, to avoid or fix the "pelvis lilt: constraint violation" I am getting when running SO, I believe I need to add a torque actuator at the lumbar joint as well as to add reserve a...

.trc file editing

The attached file labeled markers.xml is the file I am using for the Opensim model leg6dof9musc. In Vicon, I detached the markers I didnt need (the right leg markers) for this new model. However, the .trc file is showing 18 markers. It should show on 12. The extra markers in the .trc file are as fol...

Re: Imputing Scaling

In the commands section it says in the 3rd step that the "model has no markers!"
Yet in the scale box Opensim recognizes that my model has 22 markers.

Imputing Scaling

I am trying to scale the 3DGaitModel2354 with VICON/NEXUS data I collected. I exported the .trc file within Nexus from my static trial. Then I imported that file into OpenSim using the Scale Tool. I imported the same .trc file in both the Scale Model box and the Adjust Model Markers. I also checked ...

scaling

I know the opensim preserves the ratio between optimal fiber length and tendon slack length as it scales the model but I'm not sure about the pcsa and the pennation angle. Do I need to enter these two parameters or does Opensim scaling tool take care of these?

Re: Static Optimization

Thank you for your response. Just so I am clear. I will NOT being using ideal. I will be using "constrained by force-length-velocity properties." I wont to double check you are using the word "true" to represent what the muscle are actually doing

Static Optimization

I read through the Static Optimization tutorial. I'm wondering about the activation-to-force conditions. How will I know which condition to pick? Ideal or constrained by force-length-velocity properties?
Thank you
