Classes to use MOT file in MATLAB to move model and analyse actuators

Dear experts, I am not able to understand the methods and classes to use a MOT file (generated from MoCap data applied to an OpenSim model) to a different model (same base model, but with different actuators etc.). I tried to have the MOT file into a STO object, and access the data as StateVectors e...

Real-Time Forward Kinematics Visualization in OpenSim GUI ??

Hi, I want to use OpenSim to visualize movements in real-time using joint angles that have been sent to OpenSim from an external application (via TCP/IP) etc. Can this be done? I have a stream of joint angles being generated in MATLAB/Python and I would like to send it over to the GUI for visualizat...

Re: CMC on MoBL_ARMS model

Hi Aushim,

Did you manage to solve this problem? We are facing the same problem as you mentioned. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Regards,

MoBL ARMS model: How to get Euler angles of local coordinate system transformation against global coordinate system

Hi experts, I am working with the MoBL ARMS model and I want to know the Euler Angles of the JCS fixed to the humerus, as the shoulder joint is moved in different DoFs. 2 of the 3 coordinates representing the 3 DoFs at the humerus - elv_angle and shoulder_elv don't represent the Euler angles at the ...

MoBL ARMS model: Making hidden coordinates appear in GUI coordinate window

Hi, I am working with the MoBL ARMS model. While some of the coordinates show up in the coordinate window and can be changed through the slide, many others show up in the MOT file, but can't be changed in the coordinates window. What would I need to change in the XML file to make them show up? Any h...

Tracking marker positions while moving limb with prescribed functions

Dear experts, I am a beginner with OpenSim. I have a scaled upper-limb model with a marker set. I wanted to perform some simulations in which I move a particular joint with some prescribed functions, and wanted to get the paths traversed by the different markers over the entire joint movement. How d...

Re: Custom movements of markers

You could mount each marker on a separate body and specify the motion of these bodies relative to the thorax as functions of model coordinates. It may be challenging to determine what these functions should be. Thank you Thomas for that suggestion, I'll try to see if I can do that. Thank you once a...

Re: Custom movements of markers

Relative to what? Are you saying that the Model Markers would have motion relative to the Thorax since there is soft tissue between them? Apologies for not being clearer about that. Yes, I meant - is there a straightforward way to incorporate soft tissue induced movements that could be a function o...
