joint stiffness
Hi,
I would like to know the best way to calculate joint stiffness.(Not the quasi stiffness) at the ankle joint.

A strange problem
Hello everyone, I have a strange problem and wanted to know if anyone has faced the same. I have done scaling and inverse kinematics for level walk at my home computer and everything worked fine and the model simulated the walk from the marker trajectories fine. But when I got the same files at my l...

Effect of direction of motion on joint and body kinematics curves
I have biomechanical data from two trials (ascent and descent) recorded while subject was moving in opposite directions. Since, I am interested in the ankle angle and shank angular velocity of the two trials, I run the IK and Analysis tool and plotted the resultant curves (see attached). I am a bit ...

Re: Bodykinematics acceleration
Hello Dimitar,
Thank you. Yes, this is relevant. I would like to ask one more thing. In this case, if I take the derivative of the velocity curve to get the acceleration values, would it be correct?
Thanks and Regards

Bodykinematics acceleration
Hello everyone, I am working with the acceleration file of the bodykinematics section in the Analyze tool of Opensim 3.3. The acceleration values that I get are different from that of when I take the double derivative myself of the position file values. I am comparing the linear acceleration of the ...

Re: Sharp jumps and fluctuations in the joint torques after inverse dynamics
I kind of got better results now.I had missed filtering the forces while creating the .trc files. However, I did the filtering during opensim's inverse kinematics and dynamics( tried 6hz, 4hz, 3hz,12hz) before which resulted in the above curves.

Sharp jumps and fluctuations in the joint torques after inverse dynamics
Hello everybody, I have tried to model the gait of a healthy subject(mass 56.5 kgs) in an inclined (10 degree up) pathway. Whereas, the kinematics look pretty OK when compared with the literature, the joint moments have sharp fluctuations and jumps at some points.(Attached figures). Please help if an...
