Steady state FSI?
Hi All, I have a scanned un-stressed aorta geometry and wanted to pre-stress the geometry in svFSI. I intent to run a steady state simulation as for pre-stressing. I know that there is a steady flow solver in simvascular, is there an equivalent for the solid side of things? Or do I need to just run ...

Re: Jump in Wss contour
Hi Ezat,
I got a feeling that you are missing one of the geombc.dat.x (where x is the number of computation node) when running svPost . I accidentally did that and I got something similar.
Regards,
Hadi

Re: GenBC of parallel RCR network
Hi Weiguang, I did the GenBC simulations and it runs, then i used the GUI to extract the flowrate at each inlet/outlet surfaces. I found out that the sum of the flow from the inlets and outlets didn't add up to zero. The simulation I am running is a rigid wall, so it should be balanced. Somehow it i...

Hi Weiguang,
I get it now, I will try it out, thank you.

Re: GenBC of parallel RCR network
Hi Weiguang,
I've also realised that the dP1/dt is not a function Q1, it is a function of Q11, where Q1=Q11+Q12, since Q1 is the first split from the parent branch and Q11 is the split from the child branch

Hadi

Re: GenBC of parallel RCR network
Hi Weiguang, Thank you for your help. However, I am not sure if I understand it well enough. If I understood it properly, we can set four variables, x(1:4), with index 1=P1, 2=P2, 3=Q1, 4=Q2. Q is given by the program. These ones are straight forward: f(1)= x(3)/C1 f(2)=x(4)/C2 x(3)=Q-x(4) However, ...

GenBC of parallel RCR network
Hi All, I recently try to model 2 parallel RCR circuits: parallel RCR network.PNG I ran this in GenBC with the following differential equations: c index: P=1 Q1=2 P1=3 Q2=4 P2=5 f(3)= (1D0/C(1)) * (x(2) - x(3)/Rd(1)) f(5)= (1D0/C(2)) * (x(4) - x(5)/Rd(2)) f(2)=(f(1)-f(3))/Rp(1) f(4)=(f(1)-f(5))/Rp(2...

Re: Exporting to vtp
Hi Dave, Thank you for the reply, it would definitely speed up the post proc. I saw that there is a similar command in SvFSI solver.inp file: Save results to VTK format: 1 Name prefix of saved VTK files: result Increment in saving VTK files: 10 Start saving after time step: 1 I wonder why it is not ...

Exporting to vtp
Hi all, I've recently ran my first simvascular code in MSI using SvSolver, and it returns the restart files :D. Right now, i need to download and convert the restart files into .vtp files in simvascular GUI. I wonder if there is a fast way to do it, maybe defining the conversion in the .inp file? Th...

Hi David,
At the same time, I actually used my friend's mac to open the file, and it works now. Thank you!
