Re: Perturbation triggered by contact event
Dear Thomas, I'm wondering if there is a way to use population best from the .par file instead of population mean, while evaluating a .scone scenario using init function? That's great to hear, thanks! In answer to your previous question: you can run a simulation with optimized parameters by specifyi...

Does motor effort count in total effort?
Hi,
I'm using a motor in joint to simulate an exoskeleton. Does the motor effort count in total effort, or the reported effort is just related to muscles?

Adding path spring
Hi, I tried to add a path spring to the model, and then I used OpensimAD to create external function and run the simulation again, but the results are similar to having no spring. This has left me wondering whether it is indeed possible to incorporate a path spring into this predictive model. I am w...

adding coordinate actuator to hfd model
To whom it may concern, I am encountering an issue while attempting to add a coordinate actuator to an OpenSim3 model and converting it to an HFD model using the convert tool. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, the coordinate actuator does not appear in the resulting HFD model. I would greatly appre...

ID in hopping on a single force plate
Dear experts, We have done a hopping experiment in which subjects were hopping on a force plate. We couldn't use two different force plates for each leg as we needed to apply a perturbation to our subjects by changing the height of the force plate. So now we have just one force vector and one center...

Re: Add contact force as reflex
Hi Thomas,
Thank you for your response,
Is it possible to implement it using script controller? Do you have any comment regarding the implementation?

Add contact force as reflex
Hi SCONE users,
I'm wondering if we can use contact force as reflex in muscles. If it is doable, can you help me how to do that?

Re: static optimization doesn't report some muscle forces
Hi Ayman, thanks for your quick response,
As you can see in the attached figure, the "applies force" option is selected but it doesn't work. These muscles apply force when using CMC but in static optimization, they don't.

static optimization doesn't report some muscle forces
Hi everyone, I want to use static optimization (SO) to extract muscle forces. But some of the muscle's color turn to gray during running SO and doesn't report force and activation for these muscles. What can be the source of this problem? I'll be extremely thankful if someone tells me how to fix it....
