Challenges meshing: Number of Nodes: 0
Hello, I'm trying to mesh a geometry from an .stl I created in MATLAB, but no matter how much I remesh, smooth, etc. I get the intersecting facet error unless I go to an extremely small mesh size (yields 12 million elements). When I do the Advanced Meshing option to check for intersecting facets, it...

mbilog not visible
Hello, I'm trying to run SimVascular on my Windows laptop. I'm running into some trouble with meshing, but it's difficult to troubleshoot because I can't see the mbilog. When I click on the icon on the taskbar, it opens off screen. I don't have this problem on my Windows desktop. Any ideas how to fi...

Re: BL + regional refinement
Thanks for your response. I opened up the walls_combined.vtp and I see exactly what you're saying. But in the original model the aneurysm is not designated as a separate face from the rest of the wall--it's all part of the same face, and is designated as a wall. I don't know why it excludes the aneu...

Re: BL + regional refinement
I've attached the mesh here in case it's useful. I'm using a pulsatile flow with an average flow rate of about 2 mL/s. dt=0.00025.

BL + regional refinement
Hello, I've been running into a problem when trying to use BL meshing with regional refinement. I've seen this now with different meshes of different sizes. I have gotten reasonable results when running the exact same simulation with either regional refinement or BL meshing alone, so it seems the tr...

Hello, This is related to a question I posed at the end of another thread (https://simtk.org/plugins/phpBB/viewtopicPhpbb.php?f=188&t=10202&p=0&start=0&view=&sid=320f72ba8c63b1a048879d78be984ab8) so if someone is still working on replying to that one I'm not trying to rush things; I just didn't want...

Specifying Initial Conditions
Hello, I was wondering how initial conditions are specified in SimVascular. It seems to me there are three possible ways to specify initial conditions, and I was wondering exactly how they each work, and how they differ from each other. 1.) Specify an initial pressure and x, y, and z velocities unde...
