Re: Magnitude of Joint Reaction Force Does Not Make Sense Based on Static Optimization Results

Hello all, Just in case anyone looks at this post in the future, I figured out the solution. I had two muscle actuators and 2 coordinate actuators that were "disabled" in the gui as I did not want to include them in the analyses. Since they were disabled, there were obviously no results for them in ...

Re: Inverse Kinematics error in Motion

Hi, Are the marker weights for the markers on the right foot much less than the other markers in your model? Also, if you scaled the model, that could be a potential source of the issue if it wasn't properly scaled making it difficult for IK to match your experimental kinematics. I hope this helps! ...

Magnitude of Joint Reaction Force Does Not Make Sense Based on Static Optimization Results

Hello, I have been developing a model for the glenohumeral joint where the end goal is to investigate changes in the magnitude and direction of the joint reaction force during abduction. I believe I am getting reasonable results for static optimization. However, based on the muscle forces from stati...

Validating Activations Obtained from Static Optimization

Hi everyone, I have developed a simple model of the glenohumeral joint consisting of the humerus, scapula, rotator cuff muscles and middle deltoid. The overall goal is to determine joint reaction force magnitude and direction in individuals with symptomatic rotator cuff tears. I account for the tear...
