Ground contact model
<r>HI all,<br/> I want to use a set of spring/dampers to model foot/ground contact in a forward dynamic simulation. I found out that there are different linear and non-linear springs available.<br/> <URL url="https://simtk.org/api_docs/opensim/api_docs20b/">https://simtk.org/api_docs/opensim/api_doc...

Torque actuator xml code
<t>Hi everyone,<br/> I have some questions on torque actuator's xml script. <br/> 1- what does "-1.#INF" mean in min_control? can I replace it simply by -1?<br/> 2- What does "optimal_force" mean? Is it the maximum torque that the actuator can apply? Is it a force or a torque? and why is it OPTIMAL?...

RE: Turn off printing results on cmd screen
<t>Hi Ayman<br/> Unfortunately it seems that it is not possible to redirect it from matlab. I will send a feature request,<br/> The problem is not clutter on the screen, but the time. For my specific forward dynamic problem, if I could turn off the screen display, I would save 20% of total time. For...

Passive Joint Torque
<t>Hi all,<br/> I would like to add passive joint torques to my model to prevent unusual joint angles during forward dynamics. <br/> I can add the passive torque in older versions (like 2.0.2) but version 2.2 does not recognize the passive torque!! Is it deleted in new versions? If yes, why?<br/> Ch...
