Re: Survey Design

Lealem provided a good explanation that makes sense. Yet we are digressing and need to refocus. To resolve this minor internal conflict regarding anonymity there are several simple solutions I suggested. The best solution is increase invited population size - which should be doable considering the s...

Re: Should “technology” be included in the Committee Charge?

Lealem represents the conservative approach considering the tension between "good old popular" and "too new to be true". I myself associate his words with the idea of "the worst enemy of the best is the bestest". And choice of words is intentional. I understand his position and even support it from ...

Re: Should “technology” be included in the Committee Charge?

Technological innovation is an important engine of change. Lealem is right. Technology does change, so mapping technologies for every type of modeling seems unreasonable. Never the less, I like and support Ahmet's suggestion of pointing out technologies that improve credibility. This is useful and i...

Re: Survey Design

During the committee meeting we addressed the issue of anonymity. I mentioned that I am uncomfortable releasing a survey asking too many personal questions - even if these to not fall in the specific criteria Lealem noted as identifying according to the current law. I suggest one of the following wa...

Re: Survey Design

The newer version of the survey is better from several perspectives: 1. All questions are on the same page which allows comparison between score visually. 2. The score is nicely visible on the right side of the screen. 3. The red text that asks to limit the number of high ranking answers is crucial ...

ISPOR Webinar review - Parameter Estimation & Uncertainty

Andrew Briggs did reply to my previous post. The continued public discussion moved to the ISPOR discussion list that can be seen in this link: http://www.linkedin.com/groups/Technological-innovation-ISPOR-18th-annual-4158822.S.260189325?trk=group_search_item_list-0-b-ttl&goback=%2Egna_4158822 It is ...

Re: Survey Design

Tina wanted to add more context to the survey by adding more questions related to the modeling context. This was raised in the team meeting. The idea was to add this additional information during analysis - probably for stratification. Lealem and Tina were assigned to work on defining these question...

Re: Survey Design

There was very good feedback in this forum. I myself posted my comments as part of the survey form. Yet allow me to comment on some of the issues discussed here. I also think it is important to channel the user to keep the number of high scores to a minimum. Otherwise the planned analysis suggested ...

Re: Survey Design

Hi Joy, It is possible to add javascript code to the Google spreadsheet. Similar to how Visual Basic for Applications can be embedded in an XL spreadsheet. However, this is not trivial and requires some programming effort. A URL randomized redirection may be another simple solution. If you can progr...
