Acceleration constraint violation

This generic rigid-body upper-limb musculoskeletal model may be employed to estimate the forces in the shoulder muscles given pre-defined upper limb motion and external forces.

The muscle-tendon paths have been optimised to data derived from one compr

Acceleration constraint violation

Post by Hazimah Mahmud » Tue Jun 23, 2020 4:50 am

Hi,

I am using Wu's Shoulder Model in OpenSim 4.0 to compute the muscle forces and joint reaction forces. At the moment, I am not constraining the direction of force vector within the glenoid cavity as I just want to analyse the difference in muscle forces when subscapularis is disabled. When running the static optimisation using the given abduction motion file, SO failed because of weak muscles. I then added reserve actuators at all joints and run SO again. This time, SO failed because of acceleration constraint violation at the thorax. How can I overcome this issue?

Thanks,
Hazimah
