Hello everyone,

I was wondering for the walking on the treadmill with an inclination do we need to use the rotation-matrix, or we do not need to do any prepossessing of the MoCap and GRF signals regarding to the inclination?
Thank you.

Best,
Arash

Arash,

That's an interesting problem. How is your global coordinate system defined? Where is the origin?

If it's defined based on the treadmill and then you adjust the inclination of the treadmill, you might have an issue with the COP locations.

Best,
Maria

If the GRFs and CoP data are with respect to the treadmill's forceplate reference frame (angled) then you need only define a PhysicalFrame (either a treadmill Body or PhysicalOffsetFrame affixed to ground). In specifying the ExternalLoads editor change the "Force Expressed in" and "Point Expressed in" frames to be the treadmill.
