Mouse offset

Post by Jemp Keup » Tue Oct 16, 2018 3:33 am

Hello, I can't rescale my contours or select my control point because my mouse seems to have an offset in the 2D- and 3D-view... Pushing other buttons as "file" for example is no problem... Does anybody know this kind of problem?
Thanks in advance

Hi Jemp,

What OS are you on? We are aware of a cursor offset problem on Mac OSX.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave, thank you for the answer!

I am on OS High Sierra 10.13.6 at the moment, but I can also boot Windows 10 1803 with parallels when necessary or even unavoidable.
I've already installed the version for Windows, but there I've a problem to start the program.
First the shell opens and i get some warnings (see attachment).
Then the GUI appears, but when I push a button, the inner screen "freezes" immediately and the program hangs.
Is there anything else that I must mandatory download to successful use your device..?

Thanks in advance, Jemp

Hi Jemp,

We are working on a fix for the cursor problem on Mac OSX, hope to have a fix or a temporary work around by the end of this week.

For your test on Windows, are you running Windows 10? I believe the latest SimVascular release for Windows is only for Windows 10. If you are running Windows 7 then you will need to install a few extra packages using NetFx20SP2_x86.exe that you can download from Microsoft.

OpenGL 3.2 should be installed on Windows 10 so you may need to update your graphics card drivers.

Cheers,
Dave

Hey Dave,

that sounds good, then I'll try the Mac version on the next week! Do I have to reinstall the software, or will there be an update?

On the other hand I'd actually prefer to use the Windows version, because my supervisor doesn't have that other option... I run Windows 10 Pro v1803 and OpenGL 4.1 is installed on my notebook. As far as I figured out, the version of that "compatibility mode", as mentioned in the warnings, is OpenGL 2.1 (< OpenGL 3.2), but I don't understand why the program even needs to go into that mode..?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards, Jemp

Hi Jemp,

For the Max OSX we will build a new installer that you can download, we should have that built early next week.

For the Windows OpenGL problem, not sure what is going on, wondering if that computer has an older graphics card that does not support the newer OpenGL? Even though that computer has the latest OpenGL there may be a problem with the graphics driver not supporting it. What graphics card are you using?

Cheers,
Dave
