Healthy Pulmonary Case

Post by Dai Xiao Dai » Tue Dec 18, 2018 1:59 am

Dear developer,

I downloaded HEALTHY PULMONARY case recently. I found it was not a whole project and I didn't know how to open files in it. Could you tell me something about this in details? Is there a ready-made pulmonary model?

Thank you very much and may you a sweet day. -V-

Yours,
Dai

Hello Dai,

The HEALTHY PULMONARY case download currently only has imaging and path data that is useful. Here are the steps to view the image and path data.

1) Create a project

From the menu bar select File->Create Sv Project

2) Load imaging data

From the SV Data Manager panel right click on Images->Add/Replace Image

Using the file browser navigate to the OSMSC0005-pulmonary/image_data/vti directory and select the OSMSC0005-cm.vti file.

3) Load path data

From the SV Data Manager panel right click on Paths->Import Paths

Using the file browser navigate to the OSMSC0005-pulmonary/models directory and select the 0005_1001-cm.path file.

I will add a complete project for this case next month.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,

Did you have a chance to upload the complete sv project for the healthy pulmonary case? If so, can you please post the link here. If not for the time being, can you describe the file contents, specifically in the "models" subfolder?

Thanks,
Goutham

Hi Goutham,

I have not uploaded the Healthy Pulmonary project, I will do that tomorrow, I promise!

The OSMSC0005-pulmonary/models directory contains

1) Path data - 0005_1001-cm.paths
2) Segmentation data - 0005_1001_groups-cm
3) Parasolid solid model - 0005_1001-cm.xmt_txt

The Parasolid solid model is useless to most people so I will convert it to a polydata file.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Goutham,

I've created a Healthy Pulmonary project and converted the Parasolid model to polydata but the model will not mesh, seems that there are some gaps in the surface.

Let me try to find a better model to include in the project.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Hamed,

The solid model downloaded from SimTK has defects that I will need to fix. I've opened a GitHub Issue for this (https://github.com/SimVascular/SimVascu ... -616718445). I'm not sure when I'll be able to complete this.

For now you will need to create a solid model the standard SV way, selecting segmentations and unioning them. See http://simvascular.github.io/docsModelG ... ngPolyData.

Cheers,
Dave
