Simulations not running on a Window 10 system

Post by Atefeh Razavi » Fri Feb 08, 2019 12:14 pm

Hello,

When I run the simulation on a local computer (using 36 out of 40 logical processors), simulation is finished after one minute (predicted to take about 3 to 4 hours running time) with no error or warning and the prcos-case file includes only a few files including bct.dat, rcrt.dat.
I was wondering if you may have any suggestion.

Thank you very much,
Ati

Hi Atefeh,

This sometimes happen to me because of a bad mesh. Maybe you need some smoothing or a different mesh size (sometimes slightly different). Hope it helps.

Hi Amirtaha,

Thanks for your answer! Do you mean smoothing the model before the meshing?
I will try that.

Thanks,
Atefeh

Hi Atefeh,

Yes, you got it right. I suggest you first smooth your model before import it to SimVascular (e.g. using OpenFlipper) as well as after you import it to SimVasclar using the options available under Models/Local Ops.

Thanks,
Amirtaha

Hi Amirtaha,

Actually I have the model smoothed out, but for one of my models specifically, meshing worked for a less smooth model :)
Thanks anyways,

Ati
