Machine Learning Algorithm is Not Capturing Vessel Walls

Post by Frank Servin » Mon Sep 23, 2019 9:40 am

Hello, I am currently using the 8-9-2019 version of Simvascular and I am having difficulty with the Machine Learning segmentation function. Even with an appropriate window size, it seems that the algorithm outputs a small segmentation independently of the image slice. I am using this function to capture cross-sections of the pulmonary trunk.

Here are some specifications:
- I am working on a Windows with the latest Simvascular and solvers
-I am working with MRA images with a "File" type of file.
-A collection of stacked images were loaded directly onto SImvascular and globally resized.

Attached are two images:
1.) depicts the Simvascular GUI with the estimated segmentation.
2.) depicts the command window and the file properties of the image.

Hi Frank,

I believe the resizing may be the issue. How exactly are you resizing and by how much?
