Volume Meshing Will Not Work

Post by Matthew Monaghan » Wed Jul 22, 2020 1:39 pm

When meshing, my only working tool is surface meshing. As I know that I also need Volume Meshing to run a successful simulation, I would appreciate your help.

I have adjusted the segmentations to be as perfect as possible. There are no overlapping sections or holes in it. I did remesh the ends. I have gone through much of the software, investigating where I could be going wrong, without avail.

Thank you for your time

Hi Matt,

If you upload your model someplace I can download it I'll have a look.

Cheers,
Dave

The problem was from intersecting segmentation contours producing a self-intersecting surface. Models must have well-defined surfaces (no holes, non-intersecting) in order to mesh.

Cheers,
Dave
