1D Simulation Guide

Post by Lee YoungKwon » Thu Aug 20, 2020 9:51 pm

Hello, I am a student who is interested in the SimVascular program.

I'm leaving a message because I was in the middle of performing the Example 1D Simulation Guide in SimVascular.

In Tutorial, Set cap_aorta inlet flow base condition-
Flow rate (from File): identified as 'inflow.flow'.
But the flow file for Demo Project is steady.flow.

Where can I download the following.flow file?

Hi YoungKwon,

It seems that the Demo Project has not yet been updated with the flow files. I've attached it here, had to rename it with a .txt suffix so it would upload.

Cheers,
Dave

I am trying to run the same 1D simulation and found the inlet velocity here.
But I am not able to create files for simulations.
I am running SV on my MacBook pro.

[generate-1d-mesh] INFO - Set variable outflow boundary conditions ...
[generate-1d-mesh] ERROR - Error while reading variable outflow boundary conditions
[generate-1d-mesh] ERROR - 'r'

Let me know if you need more information :)

All the best,
Karen

Hi Karen,

There is a bug in the SV beta 1D simulation code. Try using the 2020-04 version.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Karen,

I'm glad you are up and running!

I've opened an Issue for this https://github.com/SimVascular/SimVascular/issues/769, I think it has already been fixed and will be in the next SV release.

Cheers,
Dave
