How to open simvascular in Linux?

Post by Ryu Sangwon » Fri Jul 01, 2022 4:16 am

Hi, I'm sorry to ask again for similar problem. I tried several attempts in Linux but kept failing

my Linux information
Description : Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS
Release : 16.04
subsystem : NVIDIA corporation TU116 [GeForce GTX 1660 Ti]

So my Ubuntu version is 16.04, then I try to install "SimVascular-ubuntu16-x64-2020.06.29.deb" & "SimVascular-linux-x64-2019.08.09.deb". and In both cases, it did not open. (there are no problem that install sv program)

appeared message is

No plugins installed for current SimVascular installed version.
Note: Not using the provisioning file. To use a provisioning file, provide --use - pro flag

Reading custom plugins SV_CUSTOM_PLUGINS environment variable

QXcbConnection: Failed to initialize XRandr
Qt: XKEYBOARD extension not present on the X server.
Could not initialize GLX

I wonder what was missing during the installation process.

Thank you for reading my post. I beg your help.

Hi Sang won,

The Could not initialize GLX error message means that something is not right with the X Window System that is used to open a graphics window. You are using the Ubuntu workstation locally and not connecting remotely are you? Are you able to run the xeyes program OK?

Cheers,
Dave
