Hello everyone,
I have ran the ROM simulation and converted the results using the 'Project results to volume mesh' .And I got a '.vtu' file, I want to set the 3D simulation initial conditons with the '.vtu' file.
However, I don't know how to use vtu file to generate the initial conditions of 3D simulation: restart file, is there a way to convert vtu file to restart file? Or how to set the initial conditions via simvascular using vtu files?
Thanks Yan

Re: add generated initial conditions from ROM simulation to 3D simulation
Hi Yan,
The VTU file created from the ROM simulation can be used as an initial condition by selecting Basic Parameters / IC FIle under the Parameter column in the SV SV Simulation Tool panel. This will display a file browser use dto select the VTU file.
Cheers,
Dave

Re: add generated initial conditions from ROM simulation to 3D simulation
Hi, Dave,
Thank you for your reply. I used the VTU file created from ROM simulation as the initial condition by selecting the basic parameters/IC file. However, I received an error:
Simulation job '' failed with an exit code of non zero -3.
As mentioned in the post viewtopicPhpbb.php?f=188&t=14040&p=40422&start=0&view=, I have attempted to use the svpre command line to convert the vtu file to a restart file, and I obtained a restart.0.1 file, which I used as input in the IC file and successfully ran.
This is my simulation, including the vtu and restart file:

I think IC files can only use restart files as input, not vtu files?
Thanks,
YAN

Hi Yan,
The IC is indeed a svSOlver restart file. I selected a VTU file and SV accepted it so I thought it was OK, sorry to mislead you on that!
Cheers,
Dave
