Creating boundary layer meshes in fluid domain of FSI simulation

Post by Chi Zhu » Tue Oct 17, 2023 4:08 am

Hi all,

I am trying to run a FSI simulation. The solid domain (vessel wall) is generated using the boundary layer meshing function in SimVascular. Now I want to add boundary layer meshes to the fluid domain to better predict WSS. Can we achieve that in SimVascular?

I have tried to regenerate the fluid mesh using the lumen wall mesh exported from the FSI mesh while disabling surface meshing, hoping that these surface nodes will remain unchanged. However, I realized that surface meshing has to be enabled for boundary layer meshing, resulting in mismatched nodes at the fluid-solid interface.

Thank you.
