How to fix ledge in junction region

I received a notification that my vessels might be partially intersected. What face am I selecting for? Is it possible for this error to be related to part of the iliac is not enclosed in the lofted surface of the aorta? How do I change the color and opacity of the surface to help determine this?

Hi Chyna,

It seems that cap_right_iliac does not fit inside the aorta although it is a bit hard to tell from the image.

You can check to see which vessel ends are not contained by selected Lofting Preview from the SV 2D Segmentation panel. This creates a Lofted node for the current segmentation. You can set the color by right clicking on the Lofted node and selecting the Color menu item.

It is probably better to set the surface representation of the aorta to wireframe to see what is going on. You can do this by right clicking on the Lofted node and selecting the Wireframe option from the Surface Representation menu item.

Cheers,
Dave

Thank you for helping me troubleshoot. Now that I can see the intersection between the two I am unsure what the exact error is. Do you have any insight?

Hi Chyna,

Looking at the second image it appears that the end of the iliac geometry is not inside the aorta geometry, maybe just intersects the surface. You could add another segmentation at the end so that is completing inside the aorta.

Cheers,
Dave
