I am trying simvascular's tutorial CoronaryProject.

When performing Create Data Files for Simulation,'Please make sure presolver exists!' Error occurs.

I installed svsolver-windows-x64-2019-05-28.

What is the problem?

Hi YoungKwon,

The problem is that SV does not know where the solver is installed. Instal the new SV 2020-04-06 version for Windows, it includes svSolver so you don't need to download it separately.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi, I installed the lastes version "SimVascular-2021-06-16-Windows-64bit-bundle", but still have the same problem: when I tried to create the simulaiton files, it warns me "please be sure the presolver exists!"
What is the problem?
Should I install version 2020?

Hi Wei Wu,

I just tried to run the solver on a Windows Virtual Machine from the last few SV installers back to 19.08.09 but got the same error you did. I thought the Windows installer was supposed to include svSolver but that does not seem to bee the case.

You can try the 2020 version and see if that works, might be a problem with my VM.

Cheers,
Dave

Thank you so much, Dave!

I changed another computer and the same problem happens.

I am going to install version 2020 and will let you know.

Hi Wei Wu,

I see an svsolver-windows-x64-2019-05-28.exe installer under the SimtK svSvolver downloads. You can also try to install that if the 2020 SV install doesn't work.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,

You are right, 2020 SV doesn't work also for my case.

I will try 2019.
