Unstable Simulation

Post by Hannah Cebull » Sun May 28, 2023 10:42 am

Hello,

I am running a pretty standard CFD simulation on 2 cases of a human aorta, but in my final results, I have unstable flow and in particular, there are "hot spots" of erroneously high velocities (see photo below). Do you have any insight or suggestions of how to solve this issue? I followed the same methods I usually do and I've not run into this issue before, so I'm a little stumped.

I appreciate any advice you have.

Thanks,
Hannah

Hi Hannah,

I am guessing that this is a problem with your mesh. Are the simulations converging?

Cheers,
Dave
