I have this same question - why do some of my time points have pressure and some of them only have average_pressure? Please let me know if you figure it out!

Hello,

The average_pressure and average_speed quantities are used in Adaptive Mesh Refinement and really have no physical meaning.

It is always a good idea to search the SV Forum before posting. This question has been previous posted and answered (twice!).

Cheers,
Dave

Thanks for your reply! I did search, but could not find an answer to my specific question about why some time points only have average_pressure but some have both pressure and average_pressure. Do you know why this is?

Hello,

I am guessing that the average_pressure values are averaged over one or more time steps.

Cheers,
Dave
