About installation on Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS

Hi there,

I want to install SimVascular and corresponding solvers on my Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS system, however, I only saw the version for Ubuntu 18 and 20, I am wondering if it would work. Additionally, if it could work, what kind of changes are needed to run a simulation?

Hi Bojian,

The Ubuntu 20 version of SimVascular should work on Ubuntu 22. svSolver should also work but make sure to set the location of the svSolver executables in the SImVascular Preferences panel to use the shell scripts and not the binaries in /usr/local/sv/svsolver/DATE/bin.

Thanks for your reply! Is svOneDSolver also usable on Ubuntu 22? If so, can I install and use svOneDSolver separately (i.e. without installation of SimVascular)?

Hi Bojian,

svOneDSolver should work on Ubuntu 22 although there is no installer for it so you will need to build from source.
