Simvascular Crashing

Post by Brennen Carr » Fri Jul 28, 2017 8:28 am

Hey Simvascular Teams,

I have run into a few things that cause Simvascular to reliably crash:

1. Every time I have clicked the blend button when trying to blend walls of a model
2. Most times I click the "Show Details" button on a mesh, it has happened when the mesh is loaded or unloaded
3. occasionally when trying to decimate or smooth a model (not all the time but frequently enough to deserve a mention).

I am running Simvascular 3.0 on Ubuntu 14.04. I have 32 GB of ram and 12 2.8 GHz cores so I do not believe that these crashes are related to my hardware.

Hi Brennen,

Are you using the latest version (2017.6.18)? You can find the version no. in the title of the SimVascular main window.

The issues 1 and 2 will be fixed in our next release (soon).

About issue 3, could you send me your project, and tell me the steps for me to reproduce the crash issue?

Thanks,
Hongzhi

As I was going back through my model I realized that I had two segments that were slightly overlapping. Once that was fixed I no longer had an issues.
