Zero-Pressure Boundary Condition

Dear SimVascular Developers,

I would like to use the zero pressure boundary condition (Dirichlet BC) at the outlet. Based on SimVascular documentation, I have seen that we cannot set it explicitly (there are only Resistance, RCR and Coronary boundary conditions). I have an idea that I should use a type of resistance boundary condition (P=RC+P0, R=0, P0=0) to set the aforementioned BC.

I was wondering if you could tell me whether this setting is equivalent to zero pressure boundary condition.

Kind Regards,
Saeid

Hi Saeid,

Yes setting R=0 and P0=0 is equivalent to a zero-pressure outlet condition.

Best,
