Importing .ICO image file

I am trying to import CTscan DICOM images in the .ICO file format in SimVascular image addition tool. It is taking a lot of time to buffer and is showing no result. What should I do to import this image file?

Can you convert dicom files into a vti file, say using Volview? Then you can load the vti file into simvascular.
