Thickness unit

Post by Taehak Kang » Wed Nov 29, 2017 9:24 pm

Hello,
From deformable section, does thickness unit depend on the unit of the image file/SV calculation?
Or just like shear constant, is it some kind of ratio?

Thank you!

Hi Taehak,

Yes, thickness refers to wall thickness, and thus you will need to make sure your units are consistent with your model.

Thanks!

Thank you!
I was little bit not sure of what thickness meant in SV because spherical refinement automatically generates gradual element size from the core to the boundary.

Thank you again!
