Hello,

In the scope of my Master's thesis, I aim to explore the influence of clothing on the measurement of kinematic parameters using OpenCap. Ensuring complete compliance with data protection and privacy is crucial. I am considering having participants wear an FFP2 mask and sunglasses during the measurements to anonymize their faces.
Do you think this approach could potentially have a detrimental effect on the calculation of kinematic parameters, or would it be feasible for the algorithm?

Best regards,
Maximilian Puhr

It should be fine since we do not use face markers, but you'd need to try it out. Participants in our validation study had masks on, so I'd imagine it would be fine.

Hey!

Just to make sure, I have the same issue, and there is no option to blur automatically the face of participants when recording the videos?

Best,

Camille

There is not a blurring feature.
