Proper Usage Verification

Hi, I am a new user of OpenCAP (and very new to biomechanics)
I am trying to get a setup for getting joint angles of patients walking to look at gait deviations. I am eventually trying to compare the joint angles of patients with below knee prosthetics to compare their functionality.
I am starting by collecting basic data (of my self walking) to verify that I am using the OpenCAP platform properly. My data is relatively clean (there is not much static). But when comparing my walking to the validated OpenCAP data, some of the graphs have trends that line up very closely to the validated data but other graphs do not line up at all.
I had a couple questions:
1. I am going about this in the right way?
2. If some graphs line up and others do not line up (line up meaning the general trend is similar), does that mean the patient has just some deviations in their walking?
3. Is there a built in way to detect the heel strike of the patient built into OPEN Cap to automatically align the gait events?
