Hello,

I am studying overground walking in people with spinal cord injury. Some of our participants have to use a rolling walker or canes. Please let me know if you have any tips or advice to have a quality recording of walking with assistive devices.

Best,
Soshi

Hello Soshi,

What you want is make sure that two cameras see all body segments at all times. While 2 cameras positioned at +/-30deg is usually good enough for walking, if there is a risk of occlusion because of the cane/walker, you might want to consider adding a third one (frontal). You will want to do some testing to optimize your setup.

Best,
Antoine

Hi Antoine,

Thank you so much for your suggestion. We will test the setting in control subjects with assistive devices soon first. Keep you posted the progress.
